On the menu for this week:

In hindsight, a frozen yogurt split would’ve made more sense because it’s got more culture than ice cream. . . Oh well.

This week I listened to well over 15 hours of lecturing on the history of culture, art, economics, and entertainment. It was a lot. No wonder I need to eat that much ice cream.

You can watch the lovely talk on the political vs technological timelines here (if you listen to any of this, listen to this one—his voice kind of sounds like what I imagine C.S. Lewis’s voice to sound like).

The rest of this week’s information came from Paul Cantor’s lecture series “Commerce and Culture,” which you can listen to here.

Let me know if you end up giving any of this a listen—I’d love to hear your impressions and thoughts about it!
