Tonight was transformational.

I’ve lived in this city for almost two full weeks and this was the most life-changing of all of them.

Tonight was the night that I had pizza for the first time.

I mean—not the first time ever. But the first time in New York (and I don’t know if you know this or not, but pizza’s kind of a big deal here).

It was heavenly. The slice was bigger than my face. I wanted to eat seven of them, but my stomach has apparently shrunk because I got full on one piece of pizza.

Also, I learned that the #1 most frequently word used by New Yorkers is (don’t worry, it’s appropriate for children) “apartment.”

The second most used word is “crazy.”

I don’t know where this data has been gathered from, but given the conversations I’ve had with the humans of New York, I’d have to say that’s not been my experience. However, I probably won’t repeat the ones that I would’ve listed as first and second most commonly overheard. (This is a family-friendly show after all.)

Main takeaway: New York is crazy about pizza (and apartments).

That’s all. Go forth and eat some pizza.
